Class List and Descriptions

Class A: My Journey to Teaching

Talk about the journey from the business world to teaching and why teaching is a rewarding career. (24)

 

Class B: Platz's Goodies

Learn how to turn what you love to do into a  business. (24)

Class C: Carpentry Certificate Program

We offer a one year (3 semester) CTE Program that prepares students with Entry Level Carpentry skills and abilities. Our goal is to open doors for our students with contractors looking to hire new employees. Limit 16 Students. (24)

Class D: Drone Class

Demonstrate the operation of a drone. Limit 16 Students. (24)

Class E: Duck Wing ID

Students will learn about the 4 major migration routes and how scientists track migration from year to year. They will learn about the Prairie Pothole Region and a variety of duck species commonly observed in ND. They will identify differences between divers and dabblers and learn to use a dichotomous key to identify ducks to species using only a wing. Students will have the opportunity to interact with personnel and learn more about careers with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Limit 16 Students. (24)

Class F: Introduction to Health & Wellness!

Discuss why it is important to pursue a fitness career and why it is essential to have in today’s society to help those who want to better their lifestyles. Will do fun activities as a class! (24)

Class G: CDL

The CDL program is designed to help students not only get a license but to set a foundation on which they can build a successful life and career. Our focus is not just to pass tests but to make sure we are guiding students to be proficient and safe truck drivers. (24)

Class H: Young Workers - Talking Safety

Let’s talk about safety for young workers. Your first real job could come with real risks. Limit 24 Students. (24)

Class I: 4-H Fun!

Students will break into groups and enjoy different activities. Limit 16 Students. (24)

Class J: Border Protection

Canine drug detection demonstation. Limit 32 Students. (24)

Class K: Ambulance/Equipment Presentation

Show and tell the truck and the equipment and the uses for the equipment.  (24)

Class L: Lessons About Money

A presentation that introduces students to age-appropriate financial concepts such as making money, choosing a job, saving money, wants vs needs and other topics.  (24)
